Alphonse Gangitano
Alphonse Gangitano was a Melbourne criminal known as the Black Prince of Lygon Street, and the public face of the underground organisation called the Carlton Crew. Through the words of Mick Gatto, who knew him for years, the films tell of a man who changed from a good bloke into one of the most unpredictable men in the Melbourne underworld, and of his long, violent feud with Mark "Chopper" Read.
On 16 January 1998 he was shot dead in his home in Templestowe, in Melbourne's eastern suburbs. These are the films about him.
